New quartz worktops in Highworth

Lightly veined quartz replaced dark granite, with a new ceramic undermount sink and the existing cabinetry retained.

In this Highworth kitchen, dark granite was replaced with lighter, subtly veined quartz without altering the cabinetry. A new ceramic undermount sink was fitted at the same time.

How it works

1. Removing the existing work surfaces
The sink is disconnected and the old surfaces are removed in manageable sections, taking great care not to damage surrounding finishes.
2. Laser templating in the home
A laser instrument models every width, angle, curve and radius to sub-millimetre accuracy. The model is reviewed and signed off with the homeowners.
3. Fabrication at the factory
The template goes straight to the UK fabricator, where all curves, profiles, holes and apertures are machine cut.
4. Installation in one day
Sections are fixed with epoxy adhesive and sealed, the permanent tap is fitted, and the kitchen is cleaned after installation.

The result

  • A brighter, fresher room achieved without touching the cabinetry.
  • As a guide, typically 10 working days from booking to templating, and 10 more to installation.
  • No cutting, noise or dust in the house on installation day.

New surfaces and a ceramic sink renewed this kitchen while retaining its existing cabinetry.
