REPLACING DARK GRANITE WITH A LIGHT QUARTZ
A new work surface can completely change how your kitchen looks, feels and works, without starting from scratch.
Replacing oppressively dark granite with bright, subtly-veined quartz was a straightforward way to transform this space, finished with a luxurious undermount ceramic sink.
How it works
- 1. Removal of your existing work surfaces
- The sink is disconnected and the old surfaces are removed in manageable sections, taking great care not to damage surrounding finishes.
- 2. Laser templating in your home
- A laser instrument models every width, angle, curve and radius to sub-millimetre accuracy. The model is reviewed and signed off with you.
- 3. Fabrication at the factory
- The template goes straight to the UK fabricator, where all curves, profiles, holes and apertures are machine cut.
- 4. Installation in one day
- Sections are fixed with epoxy adhesive and sealed, the permanent tap is fitted, and your home is left spotlessly clean.
The result
- A brighter, fresher room achieved without touching the cabinetry.
- As a guide, typically 10 working days from booking to templating, and 10 more to installation.
- No cutting, noise or dust in the house on installation day.
Work surface upgrades are one of the most effective ways to personalise a kitchen you otherwise like.
