This kitchen in Corsham was looking worn and needed updating. There were also two gaps to address as part of the refresh.

The home visit showed that the existing cabinets were still in good condition, with only minor repairs needed. We decided to update what was still a very good kitchen in a simple style that would not date quickly.

The details of the refresh

Keeping the sound cabinets: The home visit established that the existing cabinets could remain, with minor repairs rather than a full cabinet replacement.
Filling the two gaps: New matching cabinets filled the gaps: one cupboard and one set of drawers.
Replacing 24 doors and the panels: The work included 24 replacement doors, along with replacement panels. Standard and custom sizes were used to fit the cabinets exactly. No filler strips or odd gaps.
Updating the worktops and sink: Quartz worktops, an undermount sink and a mixer tap formed part of the update.
Replacing the cooking appliances: The refresh also included a gas hob, an electric oven and an extractor hood.

The finished scope and project figures

The kitchen was updated with replacement doors and panels while retaining the existing cabinets that were in good condition.
The two gaps were filled with a matching cupboard and a matching set of drawers.
The project price range was £12,000 to £15,000, with several weeks on site.
