Case Study - Custom Kitchen Project

A Custom Kitchen, Designed Around Family Life

The project began with homeowners who had explored several local and national retailers but hadn’t found a kitchen that truly suited their family’s needs or their home

Rather than adapting a showroom design, we worked together in their home — refining layout, materials and details until the kitchen felt personal, balanced and right for how they live

What Was Done

Simple Shaker cabinetry in Regiment Green

Solid wooden doors, factory painted in a rich, considered green chosen to suit the light and character of the room.

Blended quartz and oak work surfaces

White-veined quartz was used in the sink and cooking zones for durability and ease of maintenance, while warm natural oak softened the social peninsula and added contrast

High-quality carcasses and construction

Factory-built cabinet structures provided a reliable, long-lasting foundation for the design

Ceramic undermount sink

A subtle but important detail, enhancing both the visual finish and everyday use of the kitchen

Each decision was made in context — not just selecting individual elements, but ensuring they worked together cohesively

The Result

The kitchen now feels

  • More tailored to the family’s daily routines — with materials chosen to suit how the space is used

  • More balanced and cohesive — thanks to a controlled palette and complementary surfaces

  • More substantial and long-lasting — built with quality components and careful installation

The outcome is a kitchen that feels personal and settled — not drawn from a range, but designed around the people who use it

Whether A Personalised Kitchen Might Suit You

A personalised kitchen is often the right choice when you want a completely new space, but not something lifted straight from a showroom

If you’re ready for a new kitchen but want it to reflect your taste, your home and how you live, a relaxed home design visit is the first step — we’ll look together at what will suit you best

A bespoke, solid oak shelving unit created additional, attractive storage at the end of the wooden peninsula - practical and beautiful

Top-quality Kessebohmer and Blum in-cabinet storage mechanisms ensure that the kitchen remains a highly productive space

- Mr & Mrs R. (Corsham)

“ We engaged Nick to replace our tired kitchen. Nick took his time to let us know various options we could consider and was very patient in the planning process.

Asking us for the pain points in our current kitchen was valuable as we started to plan the layout of our new kitchen. Nick has a calm approach which helps when dealing with such a big project.

We are very happy with our new kitchen and would recommend Nick , without hesitation, if you are considering a similar project “
